Of course, you also have to water for yourself. Using this layout, you get 36 peach trees, 77 Hops and 27 Starfruit fitting in the Greenhouse. It'd be 58,979/day when including Artisan. Correct daily value for your set up is 42,128/day. You missed a /7 on the Ancient fruit there when calculating the per day. So we are talking about a 50% increase of gold with this set up. Don't forget that ancient fruit takes 7 days to grow new fruit, so that's where that divided by 7 comes from. But just comparing base prices (no star, no Artisan), this design gives you: 78 * 300 + 30 * 420 + (26 / 7) * 1650 = 42,129-ish gold a day VS a greenhouse just full of ancient fruit (assuming you keg them too): 1650 * 120 / 7 = 28,286-ish gold per day. And as some have mentioned, it's easier to deal with ancient fruit. (You have to have a weird layout of sprinklers to "trap" them within the hops).īut yeah, TL DR, this takes a lot of effort. The downside is that it needs at least 9 iridium sprinklers I think. Anyway now the number of kegs needed is something like: (78 * 2) + (30 * 7) + 26 = 392. (I counted wrong and thought my first design was 78). This layout gives you 78 hops instead of 77. Maybe that's why people still just make greenhouses full of ancient fruit? It obviously requires A LOT of work to create all the kegs and then collect and fill them everyday. So I'm curious if this will indeed make you the most gold per day in the greenhouse. The +27 is for the ancient fruit in the walkways, which takes 7 days to grow and 7 days to keg, so it's a 1:1 ratio. Hops take 2 days in a keg, and fruit takes 7 days in a keg so (77 * 2) + (30 * 7) + 27 = 391 kegs. I thought I would be able to optimize the layout a bit, and so I came up with this:ħ7 hops per day (after kegs, 77 Pale Ale per day)ģ0 peaches per day (after kegs, 30 peach wine per day)Ģ7 walk-able crops (probably ancient fruit every 7 days). To avoid a backlog, you need to have enough kegs so that the pipeline still produces the final product as fast as not "keg'ing" them. This requires keg'ing everything you harvest. The premise is to optimize the gold per day of each square. And it seems logically sound as long as you keg everything you grow (which means you need A LOT of kegs) and if the Stardew Valley wiki prices are correct.
